Noticeboard

We are delighted to announce that patients of our practice are being invited for the Covid-19 vaccination. The programme rollout is phased to ensure vaccine deliveries, logistics and staffing are robustly implemented and consequently, in line with national guidance. Please be assured that we are working tirelessly to telephone patients who are eligible to make vaccination appointments as soon as they are available.

We ask all of you in our practice community to please be patient and wait for your call. Our phones are incredibly busy with poorly patients seeking medical advice and treatment at this time of year and we must ask that you do not call us to enquire about the Covid-19 vaccination. As more vaccine is delivered, more people from other eligible cohorts will be contacted and invited for vaccination in due course. You may find it helpful to read more information about the Doncaster vaccination programme rollout and FAQs on the NHS Doncaster CCG website: https://www.doncasterccg.nhs.uk/your-care/coronavirus-latest-news-and-information/covid-19-vaccine/

Thank you all for your patience and understanding whilst our staff work hard to ensure the vaccination programme rollout is a success across the Doncaster South Primary Care Network.

COVID-19 VACCINE SCAM ALERT - If you receive a message from, what looks like, the NHS, but it is asking for your bank details or requests payment to book a COVID vaccine – THIS IS A SCAM. When you are eligible for your vaccine you will be contacted directly by your GP Practice for your FREE COVID vaccine appointment.

The practice is now on Facebook! Our page, 'The Tickhill and Colliery Medical Practice', is an information bulletin to keep our patient's informed on all things happening at the practice and any updates or information on programmes within the NHS.

When Surgeries are Closed

closedThere is always a doctor available.

If you have a problem that will not wait until your surgery is next open, please ring the normal surgery telephone number, you will be asked to dial "1" and your call will be transferred automatically to the doctor "on-call". This may be one of the practice doctors or Doncaster Emergency Out of Hours Services (a group of local GPs who provide out of hours care).

Emergency Services

There are a range of services that can assist you in an emergency. You should dial 999 for an emergency ambulance. If you are able, you may wish to visit the A&E department for emergency medical treatment.

An emergency is a critical or life threatening situation that may include loss of consciousness, severe chest pain or loss of blood. Remember to keep calm, do everything you can to help the person but don’t put yourself in danger and don’t give the person anything to eat, drink or smoke.

Easter Bank holiday

The practice is closed on Friday 2nd April until 8am Tuesday 6th April. Please telephone the normal surgery contact number and you will be re-directed.
