The practice is now on Facebook! Our page, 'The Tickhill and Colliery Medical Practice', is an information bulletin to keep our patient's informed on all things happening at the practice and any updates or information on programmes within the NHS.

When Surgeries are Closed

closedThere is always a doctor available.

If you have a problem that will not wait until your surgery is next open, please ring the normal surgery telephone number, you will be asked to dial "1" and your call will be transferred automatically to the doctor "on-call". This may be one of the practice doctors or Doncaster Emergency Out of Hours Services (a group of local GPs who provide out of hours care).

Emergency Services

There are a range of services that can assist you in an emergency. You should dial 999 for an emergency ambulance. If you are able, you may wish to visit the A&E department for emergency medical treatment.

An emergency is a critical or life threatening situation that may include loss of consciousness, severe chest pain or loss of blood. Remember to keep calm, do everything you can to help the person but don’t put yourself in danger and don’t give the person anything to eat, drink or smoke.

We do close for Training on set afternoons, these dates can be found in the 'Target Training Dates' section of the website. Again, if you call the surgery at this time, you will redirected to an Out of Hours GP Service.
